Michelle Riband studied Global Health at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and is currently completing a three-month certificate in Digital Marketing at the London Business School. She works as a Program Manager for City Cancer Challenge, in addition to building her business as a Marketing Consultant. All of her professional experience is in Marketing and Communications.
As a Product Marketing Manager at Facebook’s global headquarters, Michelle led brand development, go-to-market strategies and multi-channel marketing campaigns. Managing cross-functional teams, she worked across different audiences (children, teenagers, parents, millennials, policymakers, the media, academics, and nonprofits) and stages of product growth (from building new apps to tackling misinformation on Facebook). Other early experiences include building an internal communications strategy for the Nestlé Americas region, producing research reports for pharmaceutical clients at Rabin Martin (a boutique healthcare consulting firm in New York), and developing a multi-channel marketing campaign for Lipton Iced Tea at PepsiCo.
Multilingual (English, French, Spanish) and multinational (Swiss, American, Peruvian), Michelle has experience working in the US and internationally, including launching products across six continents.
In her free time, Michelle is an avid singer and outdoors-person. She also recently launched her own blog, called Beyond the Brambles, featuring poetry and personal essays about her travels.
